"The toughest swimmers out there"
The Grey Whales were called Devilfish by early whalers because they defended themselves so fiercely. They give birth in the pleasant lagoons of northern Mexico.
The 5m long newborns struggle to breathe and swim, but the mothers help their calves by lifting them to the surface with her tail flukes. They 'spy-hop' during migration - raising their heads above water - probably to check the coastline.
- - A male weighs 16 tonnes
- - A pregnant female weighs up to 34 tonnes
- - Young Devilfish learn to swim in the shallows
- - They migrate 10 000km to their Arctic feeding grounds
Because they stay close to the shore, where the ocean floor is shallow, they were vulnerable from early whalers around Iceland and elsewhere in the Atlantic, where they were hunted to extinction.
- - Devilfish thrive in the Eastern North Pacific
- - Devilfish feed from the bottom of the ocean
- - They eat red crabs, small shrimp, herring eggs and larvae

Finally a slide that goes, and goesWe are the popular house in the neighbourhood with our Team Magnus water slide. It has been in the garden all the time and is clearly great quality as it is showing no signs of bursting. The water fountain effect is great and has the kids playing for outdoors. Great value!
Lots of fun in rain or sunOur children aged 8 and 11 enjoy using the slide in all kinds of weather. With the garden hose attached and a little soap the slide is both fast and slippery. Our children and their friends have so much fun!
RUBBISHRead the positive reviews and felt quite comfortable that my £48 outlay would be safe. How wrong could I be! Slide is not slippery depsite adding washing up liquid and have a good slope in our garden. Water does not disperse evenly, kids slid about 2 feet and were very upset at not being able to use this. Team Magnus refused a refund, they clearly bang out loads of these and refuse refund as the slide has been used - albeit in our house for about 5 minutes as it is useles.
Robust slideWe find the thick plastic has made a big difference compared to earlier slides. Really pleased with the quality. Waiting for more sunny days though!
We bought one for a presentWe had friends over from europe and bought this monster long slide from Team Magnus to keep the kids happy. They played and they played and at the end of the holiday our kids missed it so much we bought another one for ourselves. The slide is robust, long, wide and quick to assemble and does not take up much space in the garage either.
Finally a great water slideWe bought the slide from the Team Magnus stand this weekend at the SECC exhibition. We took it home, rolled it out and attached the water house. That took 2 minutes. 2 hours later the kids (and the neighbours kids) are still playing in it! The games they have thought of because it is much longer than any other slide we have had makes this great value and great fun.
